The apartment homes portion of the mixed-use structure is set back nearly the length of a football field, behind the existing retail buildings, so passersby will view the quaint and revitalized shops to protect views at Channel Islands Boulevard and Victoria Avenue.

For the purpose of adding some breaks in the overall massing, a design feature of a 26’ wide opening in the façade at the mid-point of the structure will offer a view corridor and a break in the building. In addition, regular architectural recesses, pop-outs and lushly landscaped courtyards provide visual interest. This was a request made by the public during the public outreach meetings.

Amenities within the apartment homes will include: Olympic size swimming pool and Jacuzzi spa with cabanas, gym and fitness center, outdoor fireplace with seating area, party room & lounge, business center with conference room, sun deck with fire pit, tranquil garden courtyards with benches and fountains, children’s Gymboree facility, adjacent outdoor adult exercise area, sand/beach volleyball court, barbeques, outdoor seating and overhead, sculpture gardens with fountains and water features, roof decks in several locations with barbeques, tables and chairs, lockers for kayaks and paddleboards, bicycle parking, glass view elevators, and wireless internet in common areas.
