WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?
If you enjoy dining waterside, have kids or grandkids, or want to live near the water, the revitalization plan proposed for Fisherman’s Wharf Oxnard is something you should know about.
To bring back Fisherman’s Wharf as a thriving Oxnard destination, the County of Ventura has teamed up with three developers to revitalize this important gateway into the community. For the kids and grandkids, a magical one-acre park, complete with a pirate ship to climb on will make visits to the Wharf something to treasure.
A new boardwalk, new shopping and dining venues, places to sit and enjoy the water and water-related activities are also included in the proposed project. For those who love history, the plan also calls for saving the six existing buildings at the wharf, plus refurbishment of the iconic lighthouse. These structures will all be upgraded with the latest building and safety measures.
If you’ve ever dreamed about living near the water but couldn’t swing the cost of buying a home there, you may wish to consider renting one of the beautifully appointed apartment homes that are envisioned in the project. The amenities for these apartment homes include swimming pools, outdoor fire pits, recreational areas and private parking.
So, what’s in it for you?
- New one-acre park with a pirate ship
- Revitalized Wharf with new shopping & dining
- Public boardwalks to enjoy a stroll along the water
- New apartment homes for rent
The revitalization of Fisherman’s Wharf Oxnard offers a fun and entertaining destination, right in our backyard!
